01What the AI does
Skarv edits your real footage. AI models listen to your take, plan the edit (cuts, captions, camera moves, graphics, sound and music) and check the result. The picture of you is your own recording, cut and graded; your voice is your own voice, cleaned up.
The models Skarv uses depend on the Surge level you pick. The pricing page lists what works at each level.
02When Skarv generates material
Some features create new images, video or sound that were not in your recording:
- AI B-roll clips and AI images.
- Background replacement and relighting.
- Music beds and, at the highest Surge level, a generative studio voice.
- Dubbing into another language.
You choose these features yourself, and see their price, before a job runs.
03Labels (EU AI Act, article 50)
When a film contains generated or AI-altered material, Skarv marks the file in a machine-readable way and shows you which parts were generated, so the film can be identified as containing AI content. Under article 50 of the EU AI Act, if you publish material that could pass as real footage of real people, places or events, you must disclose that it was generated or altered. Skarv’s label helps you do that; do not remove it.
Ordinary editing of your own footage (cuts, grade, captions, graphics, noise reduction) does not need an AI label.
04What stays yours
You own your uploads and the films Skarv makes for you. Your content is sent to AI providers only to perform the step you asked for. We do not use your footage to train AI models. The providers we use are listed in the privacy policy.
05Review before you publish
AI makes mistakes: a misheard name in a caption, a cut that drops a word you needed, a generated scene that is not quite right. Watch every film before you publish it. Questions or concerns: the contact details at nordkod.io.
06Our own marketing
The demo footage on this website shows an AI-generated person, not a customer, and is labeled wherever it plays. We never present AI-generated people as real customers.
